Long over due

I know, I know...I should have posted these like 2 months ago. But to my defense they were on my mom's camera, and I just barely downloaded them to my photobucket. Can I just say my mom is amazing and so talented!! She made this beautiful blessing dress for Avenly. I had seen one very similar on a website but it was priced at like $270, and I knew my mom could figure out how to make one just about the same...and she did, only better because it was made with love! We blessed Avie on May 3rd. It was a very special and beautiful day, Justin did awesome! I know he was super nervous. We were so lucky to have family come all the way here to support us! We know Avenly has a special spirit and we are so glad to have her in our family!

Giving the bumbo a try for the first time! I'm not sure Avie is quite strong enough for it yet, she was kinda tipping over the whole time...maybe we'll give it another try in a few weeks!

Independance Day

Why we didn't get one of all of us, I don't know. We have yet to get a family picture...oh well! I was really worried about how Avenly would react to the fireworks, but she Loved them!! She just sat on our laps and watched all the pretty colored lights, she never flinched or jumped once!

Trying to get a picture of Avenly smiling is a lot harder than I thought it would be! She is smiling all the time now, but once you get the camera out she focuses on the light of the camera instead of the person trying to make her smile! She is so much fun. It's so neat to see her grow and develop. I think it's pretty safe to say she is sleeping through the night now!! yeah! She's got pretty good control over her head now and she loves to look around. Her awake and sleep times are much more defined, and you can tell when she is tired because around her little eyes gets bright red. She has officially grown out of her newborn clothes so it's been much more fun to dress her in all of her cute outfits! I don't have any stats as far as weight or length since we don't go to the doctor again until 4 months, but that's just around the corner!
